Hello and welcome to The Pondok Indah Golf Academy Web Site
My name is Gavin Webb, I am an Australian Golf Professional who has lived in Indonesia for 5 years and have now become the new Head Coach at The Pondok Indah Golf Academy.
For students and parents old and new thankyou for taking the time to see what Pondok Indah Golf Academy (PIGA) will be offering and beginning over the coming months. Within this web site I will show you what we are planning at PIGA and how it will effect you and your children who currently train with us and those who will be new with us in time.
Firstly it is important to know that the training of the golf swing comes from understanding fundamental swing mechanics and how it will effect each person differently, so our training curriculum is not a new method of learning golf, we will be training with an understanding of the 7 key Positions of the swing and with repetitive and constant training sessions we will provide our students with the means for understanding the swing with the aide of constant analysis provided by our coaching staff.
Training Programs
We have now created seperate training groups based on a students skill level, I feel this is important as it will help us to develop a students motivation and desire to continue to improve because as they improve they will be promoted to upper level training groups.
The Groups are:
1. The Little Tigers
2. The Black Panthers
3. The Tasmanian Devils
4. The Scorpions
5. P.I Tour
The actual group names are not important as much as the distinction between each level of skill. It is our intention to make sure that it is a special occasion when a student is promoted to another level.
Tournaments
We will begin to introduce PIGA Tournaments shortly also, these tournaments will be open to all our students catering for 18 hole , 9 hole and 5 hole events, members of PIGA will be provided with this information in due time.
So for now please stay tuned for more developments for your Golf Academy notably this web site as we wish to make it more interactive for our junior students. The industry is massive and has many career opportunities if some one so desires to follow.
